"It’s quite a beauty. Satiny. Curranty. A flood of smooth, berried fruit with fragrant herbs, peppers and blossoms floating throughout. It’s warm and rich but there’s more than a little enchantment to it. It’s pretty, as is the Edelstone way, but substantial. Tannin is fine and just-assertive-enough. There’s a smoky, peppery, almost meaty character here but it comes enmeshed with the fruit. You have to enjoy the warmer style of shiraz, certainly, but it’s a long way from being overdone and it really is quite seriously beautiful.
